Recording artiste Diamond Liyah is getting into the nitty-gritty of relationship struggles with her latest single, Blue Tick.

"The song is about a woman having a dispute with her partner, which leads to confrontation; and as usual, when we get upset, we ignore each other. So that's what her boyfriend did, he left her 'on read'. In other words, 'blue tick'," the artiste explained.

Getting major kudos since its release, the song is intended to not only entertain, but to send a message to lovers.

"This project is to encourage people to not ignore or take advantage of the ones we love because of little simple things that can be talked about. Put your ego aside and be open to communication when there's indifference. It goes a long way," the artiste said.

"In regard to Blue Tick, many listeners express that they feel the pain in the song and they're engaged, as if they have someone ignoring them. Man, woman, boy, girl, even the dogs that pass rock to my songs," she added.

After starting her career in 2017, Diamond Liyah took a one-year break and started recording in the latter part of 2021. Now, she is ready to take the industry by storm, having rebranded.

"My style of music is old-school reggae/dancehall with an added ingredient of new school. My music is emotional. I tap into feelings, so my music is to make you feel something, whether it's good, high off life, reflective of the past, things like that. My music teaches and inspires. The goal is to evoke emotions, educate, and give you a vibe," she said.

Since the start of her career, the artiste has released several singles, like Hold On, Mothers Crying and Haffi Mek It One Day.
