Leggo Di Streets brings out the stars
Members of the Marley clan, dancehall legend Bounty Killer and foreign dancers descended on the latest edition of Leggo Di Streets on Central Road, in Kencot, St Andrew, last Wednesday.
"The Marley family, which includes Junior Gong and Julian Marley, a pop up in Leggo Di Streets? This shows the magnitude and impact of this event. Leggo Di Streets a run street, the results speaks for itself," said DJ Tom, promoter of the event.
Along with DJ Skeng and Shawn 13, DJ Tom made sure all patrons enjoyed the proceedings, carefully mixing singles from the '90s to the present, while representing various genres including Afrobeat, disco, pop and rap.
However, it was a bittersweet moment for T&R Entertainment, as one of the team members, DJ Raevaas, died during the Christmas season.
"DJ Raevas' memories have to live on. We have to continue the work, we have to be loyal to the journey," said DJ Tom, a close friend and business associate. "We lose a friend and a real brother. It shake up my world."
Here are the highlights.
