Talia ‘di dolly’ ready for Rising Stars finale
Media personality and "certified dolly" Talia Soares says she is most excited to show off her "hot girl" looks at this Sunday's finale of Digicel's Rising Stars.
The two-hour episode marks not only the end of the show's 19th season, but also marks Soares' official appointment as its new host.
"I am excited and just feeling honoured to be the next host of Digicel's Rising Stars. It's been around for almost two decades, so I'm excited to be a part of something so special," she said. Soares takes over from the popular Terri-Karelle Reid, who announced she is stepping down as host after 12 years. While some persons may expect her to be the next Reid, the experienced TV host said she and her predecessor already had that conversation.
"Terri is a superstar and a big inspiration to me. But she herself mentioned that it's about me walking in my own shoes, and that's what I intend to do. Do my best and leave my mark," Soares said.
As the show draws the curtains on this season starting at 8 p.m., its new host has already started thinking about season 20.
"I am excited about the finals, but I'm also really excited for next season. So I can't wait to get on the road and meet people and just unearth some new, amazing talents right here in Jamaica. It's gonna be great," she said.
