Fisherman murdered in Clarendon

The Clarendon police are investigating the murder of a fisherman who was shot dead in the community of Lionel Town late Tuesday.

Information reaching THE STAR is that 32-year-old Dalton Grant of a Powell Drive, Lionel Town address, was shot and killed by unknown assailants about 9:20 p.m.

Reports from the police are that residents heard loud explosion and summoned them to the scene of the shooting.

A resident told our news team that Grant had just returned home from Rocky Point beach in order to get out of the way of Tropical Storm Earl.
