SUV crashes into Wendy's restaurant

Business was briefly disrupted at the Wendy's restaurant in Barbican after an SUV crashed into the establishment on Friday afternoon.

The dining area at the Wendy’s restaurant located at the Loshusan Shopping Centre in Barbican, St Andrew, was temporarily reduced to an accident scene on Friday afternoon after a motorist crashed into the establishment.

STAR Online understands that a Nissan Trail SUV rode the banking and slammed into a set of tables, where customers would normally dine, on the outskirts of the restaurant.

Operations at the restaurant were slightly disrupted, however the branch remained open for business.

When our news team contacted the entity, the manager on duty would only confirm that there was an accident.  

STAR Online was unable to ascertain what caused the accident or if there were any injuries. The extent of the damage was also undetermined.

The manager subsequently asked our news team to contact the Wisynco Group for any additional information.

The communications arm of the Jamaica Constabulary Force told STAR Online that a team within the St Andrew North Police Division was sent to the location, however up to news time, the accident report was not forthcoming.
