Photo of man suspected of killing JC student being circulated online
The police are appealing to a man, whose photograph is currently in circulation on Whatsapp and social media, to turn himself in immediately as he is a person of interest in the murder of 14-year-old Jamaica College student, Nicholas Francis, who was killed on Wednesday.
When contacted, Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay communication officer at Corporate Communications Unit (CCU), told STAR Online that the man in question is definitely being sought by the police.
“He should come in to the nearest police station,” Lindsay said.
Francis, a third former, was stabbed to death on Wednesday just outside the school premises. It is said that he was stabbed in the chest on a Coaster bus after refusing to hand over his cell phone to a thief.
His attacker reportedly ran from the scene.
The Half-Way Tree Criminal Investigations Branch has also issued an appeal to persons who may have witnessed the killing of Francis to provide the police with information.
“Some people are co-operating, but we still appealing to others to make themselves available,” Lindsay said.
