Nurse Tingling takes these teachers through the paces during cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training at the Falmouth Police Station recently.

Some 20 basic-school teachers in Trelawny have been trained in first aid, thanks to the Sweet Water Blossom Foundation, an organisation based in Chicago, USA.

The teachers were taught cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), which is a lifesaving technique useful in many emergencies, including heart attack or near drowning.

The training was undertaken with support from the Trelawny Police Division of the Jamaica Constabulary Force and was held in the conference room at the Falmouth Police Station.

Michelle Tingling, a nurse practitioner and certified CPR instructor, conducted the course.
