Maintenance challenges affect Westmoreland water supply
The National Water Commission (NWC) has apologised to customers in Brighton and Retirement, Westmoreland, for the continued disruption they are experiencing in their water supply.
This entity said that this is due to mechanical challenges at the Bluefields facility.
The NWC had reported that it planned to resolve the challenges and restore water to the affected areas yesterday.
However, further challenges have made this deadline unattainable.
The maintenance team is working assiduously to resolve the challenges and restore regular water supply by next Monday.
In the interim, the agency is asking the affected customers to call the Westmoreland office at 876-955-2652 to request trucked water.
