21-year-old suspected scammer charged
A suspected lottery scammer from Rowe Town in Westmoreland has been charged, following his arrest during a special operation by the police yesterday.
The accused has been identified as 21-year-old Taforie Pinnock, otherwise called ‘Taffie.’
The police say that between the hours of 4:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., lawmen from the Lottery Scam Task Force searched Pinnock’s home.
His cellular phone was found to have several files populated with names, addresses, telephone numbers, and banking information of persons residing overseas.
Pinnock was subsequently charged with Possession of Identity Information, and Possession of Access Device.
His court date is being finalised.
