Bayshore Park tense after double murder
The second victim of Sunday's double homicide in Bayshore Park, Harbour View, St Andrew, has been identified as 19-year-old Kevaughn Fowler, a resident of the Texaco community.
The other victim had previously been identified as 33-year-old Anthony Blake, also of Texaco. Reports from the police's Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) are that about 12:30 p.m., residents heard explosions and summoned the police. Upon their arrival, the body of Blake was seen lying on the ground, with gunshot wounds to the upper body and head. A search of the area was done, and Fowler was found lying along a section of the roadway with gunshot wounds to his upper body and head. Both men were transported to hospital, where they were pronounced dead. Up to press time, the CCU acknowledged that the investigation was ongoing but could provide no further details.
The environment in the community has become unsettling. Streets that would typically be busy with activities were eerily deserted on Monday, and a palpable tension lingered in the air. Residents, gripped by fear, remained tight-lipped about the double murder that has rocked their community. Fearful residents, wary of potential repercussions, hesitated to share any information with the media.
A man who claimed that he had 'familiarity' with the area, cautiously told the news team that the area is heated because of a feud.
