Jakes breaks silence on Rosalee-Akeem rumours

Amid swirling rumours that his long-time partner, TikTok star Rosalee, might be involved with fellow creator Akeem, Jakes, whose real name is Damion Baker, says their 12-year relationship has faced its challenges, but he remains cautious about speculation.

"She keep telling me over and over seh nothing nuh deh deh between them, so mi a guh tek it as that," Jakes said. "But me a nuh idiot, mi tek things for what it is".

The father, whose children are aged seven and 10, also denied claims that he cheated on Rosalee or ever physically assaulted her.

"Rosalie go pon the Internet and seh mi a cheat and a say everybody in the scheme a tell her say mi a cheat pon her," he said.

"There's no fighting," he insists.

"Does she come on [Tiktok] live to show her bruises? No, we didn't fight, June can't fight me. A nuff time she rail up pon me, but she never go pon her live with a black and blue eye, yet. Never, ever, because mi naah put mi hand pon her."

Despite denying the allegations, Baker acknowledged that the couple has faced personal struggles. However, the controversy over Rosalee and Akeem isn't his main concern right now. His priority is getting his children back after the Child Protection and Family Services Agency (CPFSA) removed them from the home.

"My focus now is my pickney dem," he said. "CPFSA want to know seh dem deh somewhere safe, and we a get a relative fit enough to keep them until the rest sort out," he said.

With the children currently in State care, the CPFSA will carry out a thorough investigation and present its findings to the court, which will then decide whether the children can be returned to their parents or require placement under a longer-term supervision order.
