Bayern Munich secured first place in Group F of the Champions League by

dispatching Olympiakos 4-0

yesterday.

In their 100th home match in the Champions League, Bayern were up by three inside the first 20 minutes, through Douglas Costa, Robert Lewandowski, and Thomas Mueller.

Defender Holger Badstuber was sent off in the 53rd minute in his first start in nine months following a knee injury. But Olympiakos could not take advantage, and Kingsley Coman completed the emphatic win with 20 minutes to go.

With one group game to go, Bayern cannot be dislodged from first place.

Costa notched the opening goal after Jerome Boateng's powerful shot from outside the box was parried by Roberto. The goalkeeper could not hold on to the ball, and Costa was the quickest to react and slotted home inside the far post.

Lewandowski scored from the edge of the penalty area after inadvertently blocking a shot by Coman. But he controlled the ball well to drive home.
