One of Jamaica's premier junior tennis tournaments, the Blue Mountain Caribbean Open, will start this morning at 9 a.m. at the Liguanea Club in Kingston.

More than 80 juniors, drawn from Jamaica, Guyana, St Lucia, Antigua and the Cayman Islands, have entered and tournament director Llockett McGregor told STAR Sports at the launch on Saturday, that he is expecting a very keenly contested tournament.

Several of Jamaica's top junior players have entered and should face stiff challenges from the visiting players, particularly those from Guyana. The Guyanese have entered 19 players, and they are expected to pose the stiffest challenge to the Jamaican contingent.

The tournament will run until Friday, with competition starting at 9 a.m. each day.
