Gleaner face champs Petrojam for Business House final spot

Reigning champions Petrojam will face off against The Gleaner Company in the Division One Western Sports sponsored Kingston and St Andrew Football Association Business House League semi-final at Winchester Park, St George's College playing field, today, starting at 4 p.m.

In the first game of the double header, Wisynco tackle Transport Authority in the Division Two semi-final, at 2 p.m.

In the other semi-finals scheduled also today, Xerox challenges Appliance Traders Limited Group in Division Two at 2 p.m., before GraceKennedy meet Carib Cement two hours later. Both games will be played at Barbican playing field.

Petrojam topped the group in Division One following a 2-0 victory against Scotiabank in the teams' final preliminary round game at Winchester Park on Tuesday. Andrew Christie scored both goals for Petrojam.

That win for Petrojam against Scotiabank allowed The Gleaner a passage into the last four.

Now, The Gleaner will look to build on their recent form by beating Petrojam for the second time this season. When both teams met earlier in the season, Gleaner clipped Petrojam 2-1.

The Lenworth Hyde.-coached Petrojam will look to Andrew Christie, captain Jocham Watson, Fabian Reid and Lloyd Pyne for victory.

The newsmen main players includes former St George's College schoolboy stars Oshane Jenkins and Ryan Miller, as well as captain Fabian Swaby and veteran Bernard Blackwood.
