Coach of the University of the West Indies (UWI) FC, Marcel "Fuzzy" Gayle says his team is hunting the $1 million bonus prize money for the team that finishes the Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL) preliminary stage on most points.

UWI are leaders on 58 points, only one ahead of Humble Lion, who have 57, as the two teams fight to finish on top.

"We are upbeat about our chance of winning the $1 million. The players are going for it," Gayle who has shaped UWI into a title contender in only two years in the nation's top flight told Star Sports.

Even though UWI are in first place, they have two tough fixtures. They will host champions Montego Bay United in the penultimate round next Wednesday. Then oppose last season's runner-up, Portmore United four days later in the final round.

Gayle says he is fully aware that it won't be an easy task.

"We have two difficult games remaining against Montego Bay and Portmore. It will be two good tests for us looking ahead to the top six round. We could not want it any better," he said.
