Who would be the new world record holders?

May 13, 2017
The United States' Lashawn Merritt would form part of the new world record men's 4x400m team.
Veronica Campbell-Brown would become the new indoor world record holder.
Bekele would lose his world record in the men's 5000m of 12:37.35 to fellow Ethiopian Dejen Gebremeskel. Gebremeskel clocked 12:46.81 in 2012.
Ricardo Makyn/Staff Photographer Annsert Whyte (left) looks perplexed as he finishes the men's 400m hurdles final in sixth place behind the Untied States' Kerron Clement (right) in the final at the Rio Olympic Games. Clement would become the new 400m hurdles world record holder.
Schippers would become the new world record holder over 200m
Sanya Richards-Ross would become the new 400m world record holder.
Jamaica' Melaine Walker clears a hurdle on her way ton win the gold in the women's 400-metre hurdles final during the athletics competitions in the National Stadium on August 20, at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China.
Merlene Ottey is in danger of losing her 200m indoor record.

New proposals from European track and field governing body European Athletics could see many athletes stripped of their world medals, set before 2005, depending on a vote this summer.

This means that the IAAF would then replace these records with the next best times and distances set at specific meets within its jurisdiction, in order to be ratified.

The following are what the records are at the moment, and what the records would become, if the proposal gets the backing it needs.
