St Catherine High School have big aspirations this season under two time Manning Cup winning coach Anthony Patrick.

The man carrying the hopes on the field of play is 16-year-striker Jevaughn Cole, who proved his worth on Friday with an 85th minute winner against Kingston Technical in Group D at Deanery Road.

The powerful forward volleyed home a free-kick from captain Maleke Miller, in a crowded penalty area to give St Catherine a 1-0 win and keep them second in the table five points adrift of leaders St George's College.

Cole in this his second season, believes he is one of the best strikers in the competition and he is aiming to take his team all the way to the championship.

"My coach told me that I am one of the biggest forwards in the league because he has coached it and won it already so I just believe in him and I come out and do what he asks to the best of my ability," he told Star Sports.

"Coach told me that I have to score 20 plus for us to lift the trophy so that is what I am working for," he added.
