Bridgeport High will hunt a victory against St Andrew Technical High in a crucial Group B game in the ISSA/FLOW Manning Cup preliminary stage at Dunbeholden in Portmore, today, starting at 3:30 p.m.

Reigning champions Jamaica College and STATHS have 11 points apiece in the group. However, JC have a superior goal difference. Bridgeport comes next in third position on nine points, followed by Mona (7), Papine (1) and Donald Quarrie (1).

With the return games in the group set to start today, Bridgeport will hunt maximum points to stay in contention for a second round berth.

Playing excellent football

"It is a very important game, just like the previous games in the group, this is crucial. This is the group of death," assistant coach of Bridgeport High, Jason Grant, told STAR Sports yesterday.

"Every team is competent. STATHS is playing excellent football in the group. I think the team that leaves the group will do well in the Manning Cup going forward," he said.

Bridgeport will rely on captain Kyle Ming, Javaun Dunn, Raheem Walker and Javaun McIntosh.

STATHS will enter Dunbeholden in a positive frame of mind. They will again be depending on national youth goalkeeper Jadeen White for crucial points.
