Pick a Legal Fight on Heroes Day

DO not play hero on Heroes Day with what should be a whopping Reggae 6 mandatory payout at stake. Bankers are almost non-existent on what appears a choppy programme for the first six races.

Patrick Lynch’s LEGAL FIGHT, who finished third as ‘Outsider of the Day’, attempting a 23-1 betting coup, refitted with blinkers on October 3, could be the closest thing to a Reggae 6 banker in the second event at a mile.

LEGAL FIGHT pointed a furlong out under Shaheem Gordon but was outfinished by MODERN MONARCH and his own stablemate, ROYAL MAVERICK, in a driving finish at seven furlongs.

Lynch has summoned leading rider Tevin Foster to partner LEGAL FIGHT, whose main threat should be JODIE’S FUND, skipping a class to compete after finishing third behind ROYAL MAVERICK and ROUND THE TWIST among non-winners of two races.

REGGAE 6 SNAPS:

JIMMIE’S TIPS: 2-3-5-7 – (2) Returns seeking hat-trick at level and trip. (3) Note visor refitted after tame run without. (5) Sharp at exercise, 1:01.0, from the gate. (7) Course-specialist. Beat Emperorofthecats in April.

JIMMIE’S TIPS: 2-4-5 – (2) Third in driving finish behind Modern Monarch, Royal Maverick with blinkers refitted. (4) Tore away on lead at 7f. Dangerous if unmolested upfront. (5) Used-up pressing leaders on last.

JIMMIE’S TIPS: 3-1-5 – (3) Beat Dream To Reality down in class on $1m tag. (1) Disputed lead with Norblar on round course in race won by Whisky. (5) Reports light at 108lb from a good draw.

JIMMIE’S TIPS: 2-7-4 – (2) Matched Confidence Is High stride-for-stride before being outbattled by Lockdown at a mile, Sept 19. (7) Maintained form, 2nd behind Fred The Master, from new barn. (4) Regaining form.

JIMMIE’S TIPS: 11-3-7-4 – (11) Ignore last run. Note new barn off claim. Won back-to-back races, May-June, before chasing Blood Moon, KP Choice. (3) Regaining form. (7) Close 2nd to KP Choice.

JIMMIE’S TIPS: 8-10-3 – (8) Led to last furlong August 1 against Golden Ambassador and return-winner Crown Court at 7f. (10) Close to Oaks-third, Gulfstream Cat, May 16 and June 28. (3) Note new barn.
