Dear Pastor,

I am 26 years old and I recently got married. My wife and I are trying to have a child, but we have not been successful so far. We have been together for two years. I need your help, please.

I must say that I am a regular reader of your column and I do enjoy reading it.

Dear A.A.,

If you have been married for two years and you and your wife are trying to have a child, you have not been waiting for a long time. Many people would say that it is time for your wife to become pregnant, but I want to encourage you to trust in the good Lord. Some couples have been together for much longer than your wife and yourself before the women became pregnant. I have friends who have been married for many years (I'm talking about over 10 years) before their wives became pregnant.

I could only encourage your wife and yourself to seek the advice of a medical doctor. He or she may suggest that you need to do some tests to see if everything is all right with you. Your wife should do some tests too. If the doctors are satisfied that everything is all right, just relax and encourage your wife to relax also, and leave everything in God's hand.
