KFC has launched their own brand of sunscreen.
The fast-food giant has come up with a "crazy idea" that saw them create a sun protection for avid fans, which smells like "extra crispy" chicken and will leave their customers smelling like one of their famous family bargain buckets. The retailers have made 3000 bottles of the product called KFC Extra Crispy Sunscreen.
Kevin Hochman, chief marketing officer for KFC US, said: "While I'd love to tell you our customers have been asking for this, they haven't. In fact, I'm pretty confident nobody ever asked for this. It's just some crazy idea we dreamed up."
A cricket match had to be abandoned when an owl landed on the batsman's stumps.
A 25-year-old sportsman, Steven Franklin, was searching for his pet owl Shadow when he realised his beloved pet had decided to join in the game.
The owl - who had squeezed through the bars of his aviary - had made his way down to Castle Eden Cricket Club where he interrupted a cricket match by swooping down and landing on the equipment. Steven - who was eventually reunited with his pet - said: "I thought it was hilarious, especially how he landed on the stumps. I had no idea he even liked cricket. Maybe he could be the team's new mascot?" The owl has now been returned to his owner, and the cricket match was allowed to continue.
Pizza Hut has created the world's first playable pizza box turntables.
Printed electronics experts Novalia have teamed up with Pizza Hut to create musical pizza boxes. The invention allows hungry wannabe DJs to both spin tunes and munch on a slice of pizza at the same time. Music for the playable boxes comes from grime star P Money and Rinse FM's DJ Vectra. Fans can claim their DJ boxes with any collection from stores across the UK, with exact locations being released via Pizza Hut's Twitter feed.
DJ Vectra said: "When Pizza Hut Restaurants asked me if I'd like to be the first to perform using the playable DJ Pizza Box, it was a no-brainer. It takes a little while to get your head around the fact you're controlling a mix through a cardboard pizza box but it's crazy just how responsive and sensitive the controls are."
A woman hired a 'ladyboy' as part of a prank for her boyfriend.
Lenka was on holiday with her partner Cenek in Bangkok, and got annoyed when he passed out after having too much to drink. In order to get her revenge, Lenka went out into the street and asked a transgender woman - often known as 'ladyboy' in Thailand - to help play a trick on her sleeping boyfriend by getting into bed and pretending that they had slept together. In a video, Lenka said: "It was our last night in Bangkok and Cenek got totally drunk and fell asleep. I was bored so I went to Khaosan Road in front of our hotel and there were many ladyboys and I got an idea."
The transgender woman is then seen waking Cenek up, and the hungover and confused boyfriend falls for the trick. In the video, he says: "You're not Lenka. You're not my girlfriend. No, no, Lenka, where is Lenka?" Eventually, Lenka emerged from her hiding place and told her boyfriend it was all a prank.
