Kanye West met with Donald Trump to discuss "multicultural issues". In his first tweets since October, the 39-year-old rapper, who was recently hospitalised with psychosis caused by dehydration and sleep deprivation, revealed he met with the US president-elect at Trump Tower in New York on Tuesday to discuss a number of issues.

He tweeted: "I wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multicultural issues. These issues included bullying, supporting teachers, modernising curriculums, and violence in Chicago. I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change (sic)."

Kanye also went on to hint that he is considering running for president in 2024, by tweeting "#2024".

The star surprised fans at his concert in San Jose last month, when he insisted he would have voted for Trump if had cast a vote on November 8.

He explained: "I told y'all I didn't vote, right? But if I were to vote, I would have voted for Trump. I just said that I would have voted for Donald Trump and then I did a

song and y'all sang it at the top of your lungs."

He said it didn't mean he was a Trump supporter but that he was okay with a celebrity having their own opinion.

And he previously insisted he was planning to run for US president in 2020.

He said: "I'm concerned about putting our concept of how to do the [president's] job in a new way and if no one will do it in that way, I will take position in 2020 and do it myself."
