Amy Winehouse's dad Mitch gets woken up by his late daughter's spirit with an "electric impulse" shooting through his body at night.

The Rehab hitmaker would have celebrated her 35th birthday yesterday, and her parent has opened up about how he is often visited by the late star, who died at the age of 27 from accidental alcohol poisoning in 2011.

Appearing on UK TV show 'Loose Women', he revealed: "She's not gone, she's with me all the time. Lovely spiritual stuff. She comes to me a lot. I say to Amy, 'Don't wake me up in the middle of the night please'. It's a bit frightening because it's like an electric impulse in my body."

The swing singer also admitted that he gets annoyed when people think Amy died from a drugs overdose, as he claims the Valerie singer was off drugs for three years, and it was just a tragedy that a relapse into alcoholism killed her.

Rapper Lil Wayne attempted suicide when he was just 12 years old. He shot himself in the chest after finding a gun in his mother's house, and though he's previously described what happened as an accident, he's admitted on a new song that he was deliberately trying to take his own life.

Wayne added the lyrics to the track over the summer following the suicides of designer Kate Spade and chef Anthony Bourdain.

His friend and business associate Mack Maine told Billboard magazine: "He just told me one day that he was ready to address it now. Just being an adult, reaching a level of maturity and comfort where it's like, 'I want to talk about this because I know a lot of people out here might be going through that'. "

Between 2013 and 2017, Wayne had a number of seizures and as a result, he's cut his epic 26-hour recording studio sessions down to "12 or 14 hours".

He said: "That's the main thing that friends and family and the doc and all them recommend. Just get you some rest."

Jermaine Jackson has been ordered to pay his estranged wife Halima Rashid spousal support.

The 63-year-old singer split from Rashid in June 2016 and a court has now told him to make temporary payments of US$2,500 a month until their divorce trial in December.

According to documents obtained by The Blast, Jackson also has to pay retroactive support dating back to June 1, 2018 but the judge said he can pay that $10,000 in five monthly instalments.

His monthly payments to Rashid, who he married in August 2004, will be handed over on the first and 15th of every month.

In November 2015, Rashid was arrested on a domestic violence charge amid claims she bit her husband's leg.

However, the case was dropped because prosecutors couldn't determine who the aggressor in the fight was.
