Passenger travels with snakes on a plane

A passenger flew from Germany to Russian with 20 snakes in his bag.

In a case of life almost imitating art, a man bought the serpents at a market in Germany before taking them in his hand luggage.

According to Newsweek, Sheremetyevo International Airport said in a statement: "The reptiles were in canisters, packed in bags, carried in hand luggage. There were no documents provided for the reptiles. "The species of snakes will be determined by specialists, but according to preliminary information they are not of a venomous species."

The snakes were quarantined in Moscow not because carrying them is illegal, but because proper documentation - including from vets - is necessary to bring them into Russia.

One couple recently checked in to split the financial assets without any issue, although things got tense as negotiations turned to child custody.

The pair took a break, with one going for a massage and the other a round of golf, and on the third day they reached a deal.

Cop attacked by bear

A New York detective was attacked by a small black bear over the weekend.

William Orange was in his garage when the animal growled and grabbed at his shirt, and he took a swing with his forearm before making a run for it.

A statement from the Cornwall Police Department given to PEOPLE magazine revealed the bear wandered into his garage through an open door, slicing his stomach in the attack and leaving him with four deep wounds.

The NYS Department of Environmental Conservation's Law Enforcement and Wildlife Divisions are said to be following up the incident, and police have set up a trap.
