Doctors were stunned when they discovered a dead turtle inside a woman's vagina.

The British woman, who is living in Tenerife, sought medical help after experiencing severe abdominal pain for two days.

It is unknown how the turtle came to be inside the woman, and she has no recollection of the animal being put there.

A police source in Tenerife said: "This incident did happen, and the reports are true. The woman does not know how the reptile ended up where it did, and we don't either.

"The duty doctors inspected her and saw that her discomfort was because the woman, who lives on the island, had a dead turtle inside her vagina which had caused a serious infection."

The police have opened up an investigation into the incident.

A video of the incident which shows nearly two dozen raccoons being charmed by a man's melodic tune was posted online by Newsflare last Thursday and has gone viral, leaving watchers utterly baffled.

In Brasher State Forest in St Lawrence County in Canada, the New York man plays a soothing sound which sees several raccoons appear from the woods and walk over to the gentleman to eat the food waiting for them.

The gentleman lives in the reservation and plays the Native American flute for birds and other animals, according to the filmmaker.

Nearly two dozen raccoons followed the man's sound and sat in a semi-circle while he finished playing the beautiful song.

Raccoons are native to North America and have been known to live up to 20 years when they are kept in captivity.

A gay penguin couple stole a baby from its straight parents.

A brawl broke out at Odense Zoo in Denmark after gay penguins took a chick when its parents left it unattended, as they wanted to look after it.

An animal keeper at the zoo told a local broadcaster: "The parents disappeared, and the kid was simply kidnapped. It was a pair of gay males who had snatched it.

"When they saw him alone they probably thought: 'That's too bad, we'll snatch it.'"

The child was eventually returned to its parents, but, seeing how desperate the gay penguin couple were to be parents, it was decided they will receive an egg from a mum who can't look after it.

A bride was left furious after she discovered her mother-in-law would be wearing a wedding dress on her big day, and it was more extravagant than her own.

The woman was angered when she found out that her future in-law would be wearing a white gown with gold embellished detailing and gold threading.

On Reddit, the bride wrote: "Can you believe this woman?! I honestly can't brain any of this as she's an extremely simple woman who doesn't even put effort to dress up on normal days.

"I did tell her in the most diplomatic way possible that her dress is not suitable for the function. She grabbed the dress out of my hands, stuffed it in the cupboard and gave me the silent treatment. (sic)"
