Bunny Shaw gets Ballon d’Or nod after Manchester City double

Reggae Girlz captain Khadija “Bunny” Shaw is back among the world’s elite after her dazzling season with Manchester City earned her a nomination for the 2026 Ballon d’Or.

The 29-year-old Jamaican striker was a key figure in Manchester City's march to the domestic double in England, with her goalscoring exploits once again putting her name in the conversation for one of football’s biggest individual honours.

Shaw added another WSL Golden Boot to her collection last season while also surpassing the 100-goal mark for Manchester City.

Already the club's all-time leading scorer, Shaw also holds the record for the most hat-tricks in Women's Super League history.

And while she continues to make history in England, Shaw remains the undisputed goalscoring queen of Jamaican football.

The Manchester City star is Jamaica's all-time leading international goalscorer, across both the men's and women's game.

Now, after another standout campaign, Shaw has been rewarded with a place among the nominees for the 2026 Ballon d’Or, putting the Reggae Girlz captain firmly in the spotlight on football's biggest individual stage.
