Damage exploding on the music scene
Dwayne Parkinson, more popularly known as 'Damage', a highly acclaimed producer and CEO of Damage Musiq Recording Label in Montego Bay, has proven that he is indeed a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.
Since exploding onto the music scene in 2013, the producer has consistently released projects with heavy hitters of dancehall such as Tommy Lee, Demarco, Fanton Mojah, a collaboration with Gully Bop and Rhyme Minista, Shawn Storm among others.
So We Stay, on the Civil War rhythm, Demarco's latest release by the super producer, has already amassed over 100,000 views on YouTube VEVO in just a couple of months.
Additionally, the versatile producer has officially released his latest production by Tommy Lee Sparta dubbed Money Pon Mi Mind, which has already been receiving rave reviews from key industry insiders. Also, Damage is gearing up for the release of Tommy Lee's EP entitled Diamond Blessing, which boasts 10 tracks.
"Money pon Mi Mind is to serve as a motivation to people and deter their mind from crime and violence within their community. It is to enlighten Jamaicans about the economic effects crime has caused and motivating people to pursue positive ventures. The official video is set for release on VEVO in December. The song is distributed by 21st Hapilos and is available for purchase on iTunes," explained Damage.
His advice to upcoming producers: "Simply stay focused, you have to believe that hard work, patience and dedication will pay off."
