Sizzla ready to blaze at Footloose
Under the theme 'Fashion Ova Style', the first Footloose retro party for 2017 is set to unfold tomorrow at the Mas Camp at Stadium North.
Dancehall-reggae artiste Sizzla is billed to perform. This is the third time in the 11-year history of the series that a popular entertainer will take the Footloose stage.
"We wanted to add a difference to the event, and we know a performance from Sizzla is long overdue. What better place than at Footloose to showcase his legacy of hits?" said Tyrone Dixon of Broadway Productions, promoter of Footloose.
Sizzla, whose career dates to the mid-1990s, has scored a string of successive hits that have made him a household name both locally and internationally.
Fans can expect to hear favourites, including Black Woman and Child, Pump Up, Just One Of Those Days, Thank U Mama, Solid as a Rock, Woman I Need You, Give Me A Try' and Take Myself Away, among others.
Beenie Man and Merciless have performed at previous Footloose parties.
"We like to surprise our patrons when they least expect it. Maybe our next event will also have a performance, maybe next year. This is the surprise element of Footloose", said Dixon.
He said patrons can expect a night of non-stop dancing while reliving the hits of yesteryear.
"Footloose will be taking over Mas Camp. Maximum vibes and straight partying", Dixon added.
