Kaream Kharizma releases new EP
Dancehall singjay Kaream Kharizma knows that he is on the verge of a major breakthrough as his single, Purple Bimma, has helped him to carve out a niche for himself.
Released last year and produced by Audiotrixx Production, Purple Bimma made it to a DJ Jason mixtape and the song started to gain traction in the streets. Excited by the response, Kaream shot a video for the project in November which racked up thousands of views on youtube.
"It was a great look for me," he said.
He is seeking to build on that success with the release of his latest song, Good Luck Good Good, which was released in January on the GS7 Production label. That song will be a part of his upcoming six-song EP called Purple Bimma, which will be released in early March.
The St Catherine-born artiste, real name Jeavoy Beharrie, voiced his first song in 2009. The song, Naah Mek No Man Kill Me, was recorded by Jr Brown from Viking Productions, but the song suffered from lack of promotion. To appease his parents, he went back to culinary school, where he completed two levels as a pastry chef in 2013.
But now he is determined to pursue his dream of being a recording artiste.
"Look out, world, here I come!" he said.
He is booked to make an appearance at a Valentine's party called Love Sick at the Genesis Club in Old Harbour, St Catherine, on Tuesday, February 14.
