Soca In da City set to sizzle

Fresh off the heels of a blazing trial route march last Sunday, Wray & Nephew Jamaica Carnival will be taking over the RKA Car Park in New Kingston with Soca in da City on Saturday.

Soca royalty Alison Hinds is expected to perform alongside high-energy sets from DJs Kurt Riley, Supra Hype, Billy and DLife.

Hinds promises nothing but a phenomenal pulsating act, in her usual style.

"I just want everyone to come out in their numbers ready to fete. Ladies, dress comfortable, no 'stush' settings, bring your vibes and have a fantastic time with your crew," Hinds said.

Julianne Lee, managing director at Jamaica Carnival, says that they are being as inclusive as possible, trying to keep it affordable so everyone can partake.

"Soca in da City is the first in the series of events for Byron Lee's Jamaica Carnival and I'm very excited to watch it all unfold. We will be making a statement and setting the momentum for the dynamic grand finale of Jamaica Carnival with this event," Lee said.
