Singer J gets Sumfest nod
Singer J will make his fourth appearance on Reggae Sumfest this year. He is booked for Dancehall Night on July 21.
"I’m just happy to be on the line-up with some of the biggest names in Jamaican music. Being on Sumfest is a dream for many artistes, and I just want to big up the general Bounty Killer for making this possible," Singer J said.
Musically, Singer J has been doing well on the scene since he re-emerged last year with Can’t Stop Me Now. Follow-up singles including Put Jah First and I Am Chosen have contributed to his increased popularity.
Known for his show-stopping performances, he recently made his presence felt at several shows across the island.
On May 13, he performed at the Jack Ruby tribute concert in Ocho Rios, and he also rocked the stage at Trelawny Mi Born and Grow, a show promoted by fellow recording artiste Charly Black.
On April 29, he performed alongside Bounty Killer in Bog Walk. Their collaborative single, Runnin Board, was well received by fans.
Singer J’s upcoming EP is due out this summer.
