Music is often etched from peculiar life experiences, and Lend Love, a groovy and sizzling collaborative effort from deejays Uncle Steve and Addy Son, was conceptualised in similar fashion.

Produced by renowned artiste and songwriter Don Mafia under his new record label Mafia World Musik, the newly released song has been well received by young and mature audiences.

According to Uncle Steve, the concept for the song came about when he started dating a young lady who told him she could only 'lend him some love'.

He told THE STAR, "I replied to her saying, 'if you lend me your love one day you will take it back'. I then felt the need to turn it into a song. Many persons started gravitating to the song as it came from a real-life story."

Melodiously, he sings throughout, encouraging the woman in question to give love and she will be rewarded.

He then teamed with Addy Son for a dancehall and lovers rock touch on the record.

Addy Son, as his name infers, strikes a tone similar to that of incarcerated entertainer Vybz Kartel and adds his punch to the track.

Preparations are afoot to amp up a robust street campaign of the single.

Uncle Steve and Addy Son are banking on the song's catchy chorus and lively rhythm to create an impact, with a few international and regional premieres set for next week.

A music video is also in the pipeline to be released in time for the summer.
