Pepsi Refresh Tour to heat up summer
Music fans can expect a sizzling summer season as Pepsi-Cola Jamaica makes an epic splash with the return of the Pepsi Refresh Tour, the ultimate music event.
Now in its third year, Pepsi will again embark on an eight-week campaign which includes a massive concert on Saturday, August 26 at Pepsi 214 (214 Spanish Town Road).
There will also be a series of high energy pop-up events in major towns across the island and giveaways to premium music events.
Pepsi has enlisted major dancehall acts Aidonia, Agent Sasco, Christopher Martin, Ding Dong and Ikaya for the concert.
Fans will party non-stop to the beat of sound system Ruff Cut, and engaged all-night by MC Nikki Z.
“Summer is one of the most anticipated times of the year and we are confident that our Pepsi Refresh Tour will play a dynamic role in delivering an epic, memorable and exciting music experience to make the season unforgettable for our consumers,” said Mitchell Watson, marketing manager, Pepsi-Cola Jamaica.
Fans can redeem tickets to the concert by purchasing four 20oz Pepsi bottles from select wholesales and supermarkets islandwide, as well as through social media giveaways.
Consumers will also get a taste of the concert with pop-up road tours, complete with performances from emerging artistes, energetic dancers, spot prizes, and other promotional activities.
The pop-up tour events will kick off in Half Way Tree on Friday before moving on to other popular areas including Sam Sharpe Square on July 21, Rick’s Cafe on July 27 and Spanish Town, August 19. The last stop will be downtown Kingston on August 25.
Lucky patrons at the pop-up concerts will also be given the opportunity to win tickets to Reggae Sumfest and Dream Weekend — both of which Pepsi-Cola Jamaica has sponsored — by participating in on-the-ground promotional activities.
“This is our way of rewarding fans for the relentless love and support we receive every time they pop open a bottle of Pepsi,” said Watson.
