Sasanya steps up promotion for summer
Self-proclaimed dancehall ghetto sex bomb, Sasanya, is gearing up for the release of a new video, Zum Zum, on local TV this weekend, with the hope of winning fans over the summer.
The video, directed by AE Studios, is set at the Posh Resort and features scenes where Sasanya is seen flaunting her bikini body on a yacht.
"The scenes are amazing, really. The dancehall fans are going to love it. I have been getting some buzz in the streets with Zum Zum, and because of the support of the street selectors and radio disc jocks, I hope that this video will bring the song to a wider audience," she said.
The single features South Block and is produced by Cottage 9 Records. The record will officially be released on iTunes this month.
Sasanya has also released other Cottage 9 Records songs such Girlie Girlie, Vice Grip, and I Like It, featuring Future Fambo.
"There is much more coming, songs with different topics, hot video shoots, the full 100," she said, giggling.
The former cabaret singer is now hoping that her experience will work in her favour in the commercial music industry.
"I really turned heads, and I am used to being in front of large crowds and watching their responses as I deliver my music. I have been through a lot before reaching this point to finally give my all to the music industry, and trust me when I say I want to make a good impression. I have the image and the attitude to take dancehall to the next level," she said.
Sasanya was also a finalist in Digicel Rising Stars competition.
