Cardi B deactivates Instagram account

Cardi B has deactivated her Instagram account after defending her Grammy Award win.

The ‘Bodak Yellow’ hitmaker took home the Best Rap Album prize at Sunday’s ceremony for her debut LP ‘Invasion of Privacy’, and after the show, she took to social media to defend her win when some people claimed other nominees were more deserving of the gong.

Shortly after posting her rant, in which she highlighted the extensive work that went into creating her album, the 26-year-old rapper made the decision to deactivate her account entirely.

Cardi originally posted two rants in defence of her win, one of which was deleted before she took down her whole account, and was an expletive-filled video in which she said she was “sick” of being dragged down.

New judges for America’s Got Talent

Julianne Hough and Gabrielle Union have joined the ‘America’s Got Talent’ judging panel.

Spice Girls singer Mel B and German supermodel Heidi Klum are set to depart the show, with the former ‘Dancing With the Stars’ professional and the ‘Bring It On’ actress taking their places alongside Simon Cowell and Howie Mandel.

And that’s not the only change to the show as Terry Crews, who hosts midseason spin-off ‘America’s Got Talent: The Champions’, will be taking over presenting duties from Tyra Banks.

Meredith Ahr, president of Alternative and Reality Group at NBC Entertainment said: “One of the many secrets to the success and longevity of America’s Got Talent is its fearless drive to reinvent itself. Gabrielle and Julianne are two of the most aspirational women in the business, on top of being electric entertainers with talent across disciplines.”

She added: “As their partner in crime, host Terry Crews will continue to light up the stage with his quick wit and unending charm.”

Season 14 of the talent contest, with its new line-up, will premiere this summer.
