Dancehall star Popcaan is not letting the lows and accompanying restraints of the pandemic get him down.

The 'Unruly Boss' recently shared video clips of himself immersed in Ghanaian culture, from trying popular dishes like fufu, to receiving a tour of gold mining company TransEco Minerals and Mining. As his agent Sharon Williams tells THE STAR "He's really just living life."

Popcaan has been out of the island for several weeks, but keeps fans posted on his ventures through videos and photos on social media.

"He was just tired of being stuck here and he has visas for the UK and Canada so he decided to go to the UK," Williams shared. "While he was there, friends reached out from Ghana and said 'come on over' and he just went to visit his friends and they have him touring all over the place."

Popcaan last performed in Ghana in January 2020. He documented his arrival at the airport and also his street tours, which were filled with much fanfare.

Though his current travels don't include business, Williams said they are lining up shows for an African tour next year.

"We have Gambia confirmed for the 15th of January and I'm also talking to Kenya and Uganda but there's nothing confirmed there yet," she said. "We hope to do a little tour in January-February in Africa."

She added, "We also have about six shows that were postponed from 2020 that are scheduled for 2022."

Popcaan's last tour was disrupted last February by the pandemic. Last August, he performed at the O2 arena in England as part of a free concert orchestrated by the Gorillaz band for NHS workers. Popcaan performed Saturnz Barz, a collaboration with the band which was released in 2017. The track has amassed more than 100 million streams on YouTube.
