Producer has high hopes for ‘Combo Boss’
Music producer Ojay On The Beat has been gaining major traction with one of his most recent productions, the viral hit titled Combo Boss by recording artiste Shanice.
The track is her debut single and was officially released on December 17. However, it was released on YouTube a week after fans' request.
"This song is very raunchy. It has adult content that relates to one-on-one bedroom activities for adults 18 and over so it's not an 'E' for everyone to intake," the producer explained. The track, which has been gaining much attention on social media, was a collaborative effort with Slickwidit Productions.
"With this type of release, most of the fans would hear the message in the track and think we are 'just come' music producers who are young to the business or don't know what we are doing. But it's controversial and it sells. Majority of the feedback has been fairly positive and so we are going to continue to do the work and put it out there," Ojay On The Beat said. The connection with Shanice was made through popular disc jock DJ Shane through a WhatsApp conversation.
"I have high hopes and believe that this track can make it on the airwaves and we can continue to work with Ms Wilson [Shanice] and expand on her talent, not just as a party promoter but also as a full-time entertainer," he said.
On his musical journey since 2012, Ojay On The Beat took the professional route in 2014 when he began registering tracks and trademarks, giving credit to Davion Campbell from Blakyaad Productions who saw his talent and gave him a chance in music.
As a musician-music producer, he has worked on a number of productions of varying genres including dancehall, pop and reggae. He has released a host of new rhythms in recent months such as 'The Shackles', 'Miles', and 'Paradise'.
