Ginjah signs with US booking agency
Reggae singer Ginjah recently signed with US-based booking agency Kings Music International.
He is now listed on the roster of the highly respected booking agency which represents several top reggae acts, including Marcia Griffiths, Capleton, Mykal Rose, Richie Spice and Romain Virgo.
"It's very important to have a good booking agency taking care of your bookings because, as an artiste, you don't have time to deal with these things effectively. Peter Wardle, who's the head of Kings Music International, has a great reputation in the business. So I am more than happy that he's now my official booking agent in the US," said the artiste. He recently teamed up with Tad's Records to drop a new single titled These Arms.
"This single hasn't even been out a week now and it's already receiving a lot of support from DJs in Jamaica and other parts of the world. This goes to show that the people still want good music. I am singing for the people, and I want the world to know that I'm not singing for Grammy Awards or to be on the Billboard. I am singing to uplift the minds of the people," said Ginjah.
The artiste is also enjoying much attention from two other singles that were released earlier this year.
"I'm very pleased with the response that Don't Let Go is receiving. It's getting a lot of support from DJs, both locally and overseas. Nah Work is doing well too. I'm very grateful to all the DJs who are supporting my music," he said.
