Marcue upbeat about Vybz Kartel collaboration

Recording artiste Marcue is gearing up to release the single, My Favorite Song (Remix) featuring Vybz Kartel and Kent Jones.

"The song is all about a special female a guy can't stop thinking about and that she reminds him of his favourite song. He is also pursuing her. It's really just feel good music," Marcue explained. A combination of pop, hip hop and dancehall, he believes that the fusion track will bring great energy to the airwaves, especially with superstars featured on it.

"The feedback leading up to the release has been massive, especially having the king of the dancehall of this era Vybz Kartel and the great Kent Jones on board," Marcue said.

Giving credit to Mark 'Stone Cold' Hudson, Steven Stanley and Teetimus for their contributions to the production of the track, the artiste is anticipating a good response from the public. But he is not too fussy about how it will perform overall.

"There aren't any major hopes for this track, just a contribution towards the music and pushing the culture forward. We are indeed stronger together," he said.

With the 2021 release of his EDM single Looked Away, Marcue moved away from his normal style and has since been experimenting with a variety of sounds.

"For me, right now I'm aiming to continue making good music and keeping God first in the midst of all things," he said.
