Marcus Antonio not looking for ‘Trouble’
Since his appearance on American Idol in 2018, Marcus Antonio has continued to expand his fan base and make a name for himself.
His latest offering is the single Trouble, which was released on February 22.
" Trouble is a reminder to anyone who is in a relationship, to never get too comfortable and take the one you love for granted. Pay attention to the needs of the one you are with, because if you don't, they will find someone who will and get into some 'trouble'," he said. " Trouble is a vibe, and I envisioned myself in Trinidad at a beach party having a real good time. Trinidad culture, the music, the essence of the culture, is a real vibe, and they know how to live it up." He likened some elements of the single, including the lyrics and melodies, to Shaggy and Rik Rok's It Wasn't Me.
"The track is a vibrant club banger with an interesting narrative, which also makes it suitable for more intimate sessions," he said. Marcus Antonio, who is the son of reggae/dancehall legend Mark 'Dragon' Williams, takes pride in creating his legacy through his own unique moniker. He has learned the craft from producers like Bobby Digital and artistes such as Collie Budz.
Currently, Marcus Antonio is working on writing and producing his next project, which is slated to debut later this year.
