Roots Vibes Records launches new project
Europe-based label Roots Vibes Records has unleashed a new project titled the '59 Riddim', which was officially released on Monday.
Containing seven tracks, the project features acts such as Esco Da Shocker, Jay Pink, Sagitarr and Krasenda.
"This particular project was inspired by DJ Sonikem and Wayne Beckford. I am still learning the craft of doing good music," producer Nicardo Blake explained. Having worked with Esco Da Shocker before, the producer connected with other artistes through various links.
"I started doing concerts in Europe, where I met Dela from Danger Zone. He introduced me to a few people and one thing led to another," Blake said.
Based between Zurich and Amsterdam, Blake is taking the Jamaican sound to the world, using his musical talent across various music sectors.
"I started as a promoter in 2005. I was always advised to start producing because I was doing so many concerts with various artistes. So in 2019, I decided I wanted to become a producer," Blake revealed.
Using styles of music involving reggae, dancehall and Afrobeats, the producer has worked with several artistes, including Busy Signal, Rygin King and Jupiter.
"My creative process is to enjoy the music while working with different genres. I feel that music is life, and I am looking forward to doing more beautiful music," the producer stated.
Blake has other projects in the works, with more collaborations, including an album.
"I am looking forward to taking Roots Vibes Records to the next level of greatness, working with the legends and the young entrepreneurs in the music industry," Blake said.
