Dasvibes takes reggae to the metaverse
Dasvibes, a company that deals in digital and audio production, is preparing to launch reggae's first non-fungible token (NFT).
Marvin 'DJ Wade' Reid, of Dasvibes, said that ReggaeNFT will allow music and metaverse lovers to access music in this alternate universe that has been created online.
"The metaverse is a world where you create your own reality online. Different people interact online in these communities as if they were in the real world and can live day-to-day lives online. However, music is not available on their platform unless it's in NFT form. ReggaeNFT will allow users in the metaverse access to their favourite tracks," said DJ Wade.
Dasvibes is spearheaded by DJ Wade, his brother Melford Walcott and closest friend Michael Christ. Since emerging on the music scene, the company has been involved in a number of noteworthy projects that include the Gloria rhythm and Cali P's debut album, The Most High. The organisation has also worked with reggae stars Elijah Prophet, Gentleman and Teacha Dee.
Dasvibes is promoting its recent release, I Need You, by award-winning Jamaican-Canadian reggae musician, Blessed.
