Kash makes hip hop move

Multifaceted is one word that comes to mind when describing dancehall fusion artiste Kash Promise Move.

Having demonstrated his versatility on previously released tracks, the up-and-coming entertainer had dropped his debut hip hop song, I'm A G. The production of the single is a collaborative effort between Smilo Entertainment and Levels To Life Production.

Kash Promise Move said that the, I'm A G was created out of a desire to break into other markets. He also said that, given the closeness of dancehall to other genres, he did not experience any difficulties doing the song.

"If we check the statistics, our music has always had a large impact on other genres, and may have even helped to give birth to other genres. So, for me to do a rap song is me still being at home," he said.

"One of the producers, Smilo, brought up the idea to do something different for my fans and since I have always had interest in hip hop, and everything fell into place when I got the beat," he said.
