Jimi D pleased with career progression
Jimi D is currently riding a wave of success with his breakthrough single titled Defiance.
"Every day I wake up to my phone ringing and it's always someone calling me from Jamaica to tell me they just heard Defiance on the radio. I'm eternally grateful for all the love I am getting in Jamaica. I'm also grateful to the people who are supporting me in the US, Africa, England and other parts of the world," he said.
His follow-up single titled Karma was leaked to radio stations two weeks ago and has been enjoying heavy rotation since.
"This is so surreal. This song hasn't even been released yet and it's already blowing up the radio. Everyone is telling me it's going to be a hit," said Jimi D.
Produced by Jimi D for C & E imprint, Karma is scheduled to be officially released on April 28.
The Kingston-born singer, who is a paramedic in the US, plans to shoot videos for Defiance and Karma. The video for the former is scheduled to be done in Atlanta.
"I've already made all the necessary preparations to shoot it and have it ready for release before the end of the month. After that I plan to shoot the video for Karma in Jamaica," he said.
