M2DH hits out at scamming in new single

Rising dancehall artiste M2DH has hit out against lottery scamming in his single Epican, focusing primarily on the youth who are involved in the illegal practice.

"The youths dem getting too greedy and want to live in the fast lane. So to maintain this lifestyle, a lot of them turn to scamming and other dishonest means. Dem believe in a lot of obeah and guard rings and engage in a lot of demonic activities and mi just want them know say this is definitely not the path to take," he said.

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) has been clamping down on lottery scamming activities and has made a number of arrests and seizures this year. The music video for Epican was shot by Khingcam Visualz in sections of Ocho Rios, St Ann. M2DH stressed that he is taken aback by the youths' involvement in scamming and hopes that the song will be a warning to not only Jamaicans, but other criminals worldwide.

"Mi know say working a regular job nuh always pay nuff, but scamming is not the way to go. The badness and hype lifestyle nuh last because yuh hardly see a scammer life high fi more than five years. Yuh can't rob innocent people money and think you ago live a successful life," the entertainer said.
