Sasha Bling plans to enter politics
Already an artiste manager and television personality, Sasha Bling, founder and CEO of video production company BlingBlang Works, says she has a plan to enter the political arena.
"I want to get into politics. I need to be the next minister of entertainment and culture. And I thought what better way to learn the culture than to actually be a part of it?" she said.
Sasha Bling started in the entertainment industry at age 18 as a show host but eventually became a video director in 2012. With her love for movies and music, and with entertainment mogul Oprah Winfrey being an inspiration, she often used her active imagination to recreate videos or movies in her head. So actual video directing became easy for her. Being one of the females making major moves and standing out in a male-dominated industry, Sasha Bling has pushed BlingBlang Works to do exceptionally well. She is currently working with Good Good Productions as manager and marketer for the artistes.
"It's been really good so far. I get to work with extremely talented artistes and producers on every project. I'm grateful I get to work with these extraordinary people on the regular because they value my work. I'm happy to know BlingBlang Work stands on solid ground in Jamaica and is soon to be in the global entertainment space," she said.
BlingBlang Works has directed over 65 videos for some of the most talented and popular Jamaican artistes like Vybz Kartel ( Any weather), Alkaline ( Fleek) and recently Morgan Heritage, Jashii, Rytikal and I-Octane ( Headline Fi Front Page) which is currently in rotation on BET. She also documented two world tours for I-Octane.
