I-Nezi drops EP
Reggae singer I-Nezi has high hopes for his six-track EP, titled Pain & Pleasure.
The EP is the first between I-Nezi and Global Beat Studio, his official management label.
"A journey of 1,000 miles begins with a single step and this EP represents a major move towards international recognition for me," he said.
Pain & Pleasure takes a step away from I-Nezi's socially conscious side to a more personal, softer side. Tracks like Refuse To Be You, Blame Me and Higher are an official personal introduction of I-Nezi and prepare fans for his sophomore album. Famed broadcaster David Rodigan of BBC1xtra has endorsed the artiste's EP.
REFRESHING
"I have downloaded all of the vocal tracks because the entire project is so refreshing and original, both lyrically and rhythmically, and the production work is first class. I-Nezi possesses an amazing voice, a rare sound with beautiful clarity," Rodigan said.
I-Nezi originates from Spanish Town, St Catherine. In 2017, he entered the Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall as a member of the group Konscious, which he first formed.
He channels his truth, disappointments, pain and raw emotion through his music and is known for hard-hitting tracks such as African Proverbs, which first caught the attention of Rodigan earlier this year, as well as Rise and Sorry Fah.
