Kera Bling teams up with Jahvillani on ‘Yaadman’
Recording artiste Kera Bling has nothing but praise for Jamaican men in her recently released track, titled Yaadman, which features Jahvillani.
"The song is about my love for Jamaican men and how I am ready to risk it all for them. I have no interest in any other nationality even if it gets to a point where I have to share that Jamaican man, I will," said Kera Bling. A first-time collaboration with Jahvillani, the project was completed within a month and has been receiving good feedback so far.
"I wrote the song and I wanted a dope feature. I instantly thought Jahvillani was a great fit because the content of the song is basically what he represents, the badman persona. He's popular and of course [he has] the love for Clarks shoes. I reached out to his team and we took it from there," she said. With the official music video gaining traction on YouTube, she said that she has high hopes for the track.
Currently based in New York, Kera Bling is an independent artiste who is willing to experiment with different sounds.
"My music is different because I'm not afraid to touch on certain topics or have certain discussions. Image is important, but at the same time I'm going to keep it 100 per cent real. People will see more of that soon. I'm being myself and there's only one me," she said. Her past releases include Eating Good, Bipolar and Independent Gyal.
"I'm currently doing everything to be ready so when opportunities come my way, I don't have to get ready. I've been working on my stage presence, I've been working out in the gym and I've been promoting myself and music. I struggle with my mental health a lot, so I've been working overtime to not let that be the reason I don't accomplish my goals and live my dreams," she added.
