Banton, Beres, Luciano and Anthony B for Trinidad concert
A heavy-hitting Jamaican quartet of Buju Banton, Beres Hammond, Luciano and Anthony B is set to ignite Trinidad and Tobago with their soul-searching music at the Redemption concert in the twin-island republic on May 6.
The event takes place at a time when Trinidad and Tobago, like its fellow Caribbean territory Jamaica, is besieged by high levels of crime and violence.
Erla Harewood-Christopher, Trinidad and Tobago's commissioner of police, recently called on the country to pray for spiritual intervention in the fight against crime.
Having already booked the incomparable Buju Banton, lovers' rock master Beres Hammond, and the enlightened and powerful Luciano, the organisers of Redemption responded to the top cop by adding the conscious Anthony B to the line-up.
"He is a positive musical force that we know will make people think on show night," a member of the Redemption camp said of Anthony B.
