Spacekid scores with Intence’s ‘First Lady’

Disc jockey DJ Bryan recently teamed up with dancehall artiste Intence to produce the single ' First Lady'.

"A lot of artistes have recorded songs about their mothers, but this one is in a class by itself. Usually, when a deejay does a song about his mother, it's done on a one-drop reggae rhythm, but this one was done on a dancehall rhythm. It's an instant classic because of Intence's unique vocal delivery, his lyrics, the rhythm, and the way the song was mixed," said DJ Bryan.

First Lady was officially released on the Spacekid Muzik imprint the day before Mother's Day (May 14) along with an accompanying music video.

"By the time Mother's Day arrived, it went viral on TikTok. Thousands of persons posted videos on their profiles that featured the audio or the video on Mother's Day. Since then, the song has been receiving tremendous airplay both locally and overseas," said DJ Bryan.

The video for First Lady was filmed in Ocho Rios, St Ann, and Tavern, St Andrew, under the direction of popular music video director KHING CAM.

Released on Intence's YouTube channel, it has already racked up more than 700,000 views, peaking at No. 10 on trending for music worldwide.

"This is a good look for both Intence and myself, and I am grateful to him for doing this project with me. I am also grateful to all the fans and the DJs who are supporting this song," said DJ Bryan.
